Scope of Responsibilities:

Drive Risk Committee for management oversight on risk and compliance issues. Ongoing monitoring of the key risk indicators and risk limits.
Act as a manager-in-charge (MIC) of Risk function under SFC’s senior manager regime.
Set up and implement risk management framework and drive risk management program to ensure the portfolio and business are in compliance with regulatory requirement and to be aligned with the risk appetite
Rollout risk management framework to overseas office where practicable.
Develop and implement risk tools / solutions for measuring and monitoring risks, including but not limited to investment, liquidity and credit /counterparty and operational risks
Approve and review new products, and work closely with product division for product risk identification along the product life cycle.
Lead initiative(s) on Business Contingency Planning due to emerging risks e.g. COVID-19.
Lead the investment compliance function of Gopher AM for day-to-day monitoring.
Review liquidity risk monitoring for the managed portfolios as per SFC FMCC requirements.
Drive incident management process and provide recommendations on preventive actions
Conduct annual ongoing product risk score monitoring.
Drive and implement Group internal control initiatives

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree with major in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or other related discipline
Minimum of 15 years’ risk management experience or experience in control area, auditing or risk management from wealth management or asset management business
Holder of other relevant Professional Qualification (e.g. CPA/ FRM/ CFA) will be an advantage
In depth knowledge of fund management and various financial product operations, including but not limited to private equity, real estate and credit fund
Good analytical and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills –Mandarin and English.
